CAT Platinum Plus Extended Engine Warranty through 2011 - Owner will consider smaller trade.

This is the much sought after Jack Sarin design pilothouse model built by Symbol Yachts. The 58 is renowned as a stable, well-constructed, bluewater cruiser which can get up and "go" for great passage making. This one is truly customized from the water-tight transom door accessing the engine room to the custom "thru-bow" anchor launcher making for a very clean "yacht" look.

This owner has an extensive list of upgrades and only the best of everything. This includes a second generator added just last year, the KVH domes with Track Vision, an extensive AV system upgraded in 2008, Direct TV, XM weather WXworX, the Geostate booster for WIFI, a new hi-def 42" lift-up Samsung Plasma TV in the salon, and much more. Luxury only touches the feel of the hi-gloss varnish cherry wood interior, quality furnishings, custom dinette, Shoji Screens, full sized washer & dryer, 3rd cabin office combo, and so much more.

Of course there is extensive mechanical and safety equipment like the just completed CAT engine survey, service and repairs to achieve the extended CAT Platinum Plus engine warranty (with no deductible) through July 2011, the Westmar Stabilizers, Side Power bow thruster and new Side Power stern thruster (08), the 1000lb UMT dinghy davit rebuilt in 2009, a Winslow 6 man life raft recertified through 2012, EPIRB recertified through 2014, third engine control station, and again, so much more. This is a yacht you can step aboard and "go".

You can board amidships either side thru the upper deck rail gates or at the cockpit level thru frp gates, again port and starboard. Access to the transom and swim platform is thru the transom cockpit gate where you’ll find the large transom watertight door to the lazarette and thru to the engine room. This is truly unique on a 58’ model as you would normally need to get up to the 70’ size to find. To accommodate that door the aft cockpit seat is custom molded to allow headroom below, as well as a storage locker. You will also find the custom wood cockpit table which swivels out of the way for access to the lazarette thru the cockpit sole hatch and ladder. There is still room for other chairs and the covered ladder to the flybridge. The third control station is nicely hidden behind a molded cover, with engine and thruster controls for backing in those last few feet. Also notice the oversized s/s bollard mooring cleats port and starboard for transom, bow, and spring lines. These are in addition to the molded recesses for the standard spring line cleats. This allows one to cross tie mooring lines in a high tide area. You enter the salon through the optional double sliding stainless steel doors with s/s framed windows either side.

The extensive entertainment equipment is in the cabinet just forward, again all upgraded in 2008 with individual speaker controls at every station. Even the storage units under the seating have a finished top and pistons to hold open giving you hands free access. Forward of the settee is a large storage locker with top access, utilizing every available space. The ac vents are custom built so you don’t see them in the custom detailed overhead also with lights on a dimmer. Of course there are all luxurious fabrics and carpeting, the Hunter Douglas silhouette blinds, even a custom table with storage space for an ottoman with its own storage. The Franke ss sink is a jewel itself with the fitting bowels for vegetable cleaning, the pull-out Grohe faucet sprayer, garbage disposal, even a Fisher Paykel drawer dishwasher make for an efficient galley. The overhead cabinets add storage to the other drawers and cabinets. Aft is the large GE convection oven and microwave and ceramic cook top set in the granite countertop. There is an open space above so you can see to the salon. Just inboard is a full sized upright Subzero refrigerator with 2 freezer drawers, one with an icemaker. The front panels are the matching hi-gloss cherry wood which blends into the luxury feel. Across to port is the open design, hi-gloss cherry stair to the fb which makes it easy to carry things topside. Just forward is another custom cabinet which can be used for chart or galley storage. Forward is the hi-gloss varnish cherry custom hi-back dinette with ultra leather fabric, an opening burl wood leaf table, which has been extended to seat more people. Centerline is the pilothouse Stidd leather helm seat facing the upgraded burlwood dash. There are extensive electronics which are outlined under electronics further down this list. Below the dinette are 2 drawers to handle the oversized charts. To starboard is a panel with monitors and gages, even a panel which indicates any bilge pumps running or nav lights turned on. Even further outboard starboard is the wood stairway forward to the cabins. The heavy duty Airtex water tight pilothouse door provides easy access to deck during mooring, or just to let a nice breeze in. There is an overhead hatch above the helm seat as well. Below are the 3 cabins. Just below the pilothouse is the full beam width master stateroom. The berth is facing forward and centerline with a real mattress. Shoji screens cover the opening ports to provide privacy while still allowing light in. Of course they can be slide open and the ports opened for a breeze. There is a vanity make up table beneath with lots of drawers both sides. The full sized hanging closets are forward and TV to starboard with stereo and DVD player in cabinet below. To starboard is a huge head area with a double sized shower with seat. The Techma Prestige silent flush head system adds to your personal comfort level. There is also one of the intercom stations as well.

In the hallway forward is the full sized washer and dryer units, behind the louvered doors. Across to starboard is another hanging locker and the wood stairs up to pilothouse. The steps forward are up to the other 2 cabins which is also an access to a large storage area below for back up provisions, and is even large enough for cushions. The central vacuum canister is here for easy access as well.

The 3rd cabin-office combo is to the portside and again, lots of luxury. The desk can be home for your lap top, or just flip up the lid and there is the TV. The hanging locker is forward and drawer units in the desk. The portlite opens for that breeze. The head is across to starboard and has a large separate shower stall. The vanity is granite and sole teak and holly. Forward is the VIP cabin with private access to this head. The berth is centerline and has a make-up vanity with mirror and stool. The TV is mounted on the port aft bulkhead for comfortable viewing from bed. There is an over head hatch as well as 2 opening portlites. There are very luxurious cherry paneling and burl wood accents. Each cabin has its own speaker volume controls and intercom handset as well.

The Flybridge is where you spend most of your actual boating time. This one is designed with that in mind. The bimini top allows soft light while keeping the weather off you. It is also light weight which puts less weight aloft for roll, and is removable. The 3-sided full enclosure protects you from the elements while the “U” zip panels allow a breeze in different conditions. The arch is a strong platform to mount the bimini to while supporting the KVH domes and radar unit. There are also overhead speakers here which add to the ambience. The circular shaped seating area is usually found on larger yachts, so is a joy to have. The table is adjustable with an easy hi-lo crank. Also unique is the bench Stidd helm seat, which is more fun to travel with your partner. Aft is the bbq cabinet with sink and refrigerator and freezer for ice cubes. Further aft is the UMT 1000# lift which was updated in 2009. The original design had the dinghy on an angle and this owner moved it aft athwart ships with the davit just forward. Now there is room to store a small motor bike and to set on the dock with the davit. To starboard the sliding hatch opens to the stairway to the cockpit and quick access to the 3rd engine controls. This is truly an exceptional yacht. I’ve been involved with many Symbol Yachts built thru the years, and this one had great care in the design and in equipping. She is very unique from the water tight transom door (as on much larger yachts) to the bow anchor system, as well as the interior detailing and finish. She has been well maintained and upgraded by the present owner and will survey well with the just completed CAT Engine survey including service and repairs to achieve the CAT Platinum Plus Extended warranty with no deductible. It is your opportunity as she will be shipped to the West Coast soon. She is priced right to be sold now. Owner would consider some trades. Please contact me to discuss or to set up a showing.
